new years eve
Hello!
It's New Years Eve....how crazy is that!! And before I forget I want to mention that to bring in the New Year there's a 20% off all clear stamp sets Sale!!! I think we can all agree and say time flies by and I'm sure that many of you like myself are reflecting on 2014. I'm looking forward to 2015, a fresh slate, new hope....a second chance. I hope to make some changes to my blog here, share more of my life...how I'm going to go about this I'm not sure....I'll see how it goes and what feels right.
The same goes with Jane's Doodles. Many changes have happened this year, the biggest is that I'm doing this on my own now. I have so many fun designs sketched in my book waiting to come to life. I'm so grateful to all my customers who support me. I know I'm not the biggest fish in the pond....more like I'm that teeny tiny transparent fishy (you know the one).....but I have a lot I want to share and create.
I wanted to share this drawing today and offer it as a free digital. I was drawing late last night (had to stay up until midnight to give Mia antibiotics (she's got a nasty ear infection).
One of my many ideas for new stamps is portraits like this one but more my style of drawing, making some tweaks (you'll have to stick around and see what I'm talking about! :) ). Growing up I had a rainbow of friends, different religion, black, brown, yellow, white....and my sets are all inspired by things, people, etc. in my life. I don't really follow trends...perhaps not a good thing.
To create the stripe background I used my Stripes and Dots stamp set. I inked the stamp and first stamped it on some scratch paper and then onto the card to create a more washed out, softer look.
I coloured the girl with my Graph'it markers. The sentiment is from my Butterflies stamp set.
Right click on the image and save! :) For personal use only.
From the bottom of my heart I want to wish you all the very best in the New Year! Love, peace, and good health.

dry brushing
Hello!
I was talking to my mom the other day...(I miss her terribly...for those new to my blog she lives in Canada and we haven't seen each other for a couple of years now)....and I'm very close to my mama, we talk about EVERYTHING and I was telling her how I dry brush so why not share that with all of you! :)
I also wanted to share two little gems I discovered by a Croatian company called Biobaza which is a natural brand and affordable. They've recently introduced new liquid hand soap, I bought the Vanilla & Lavender and the Manuka Honey one....both smell DIVINE! :)
I prefer natural cosmetics and if you're interested in using more green products my advice (what I have learned) is don't always believe what the label says and know your ingredients! I was surprised to learn that the order the ingredients are listed is actually very important....click here to read more about that.
Now I'm no expert so I'll ask you to click here to find out more about dry brushing, why you should be doing it (all the health benefits) and a video on how to do it properly.
Since I've been dry brushing I don't buy body scrubs anymore...no need! I've been using Biobaza's Coconut Body Milk. If you like the smell of coconuts you will go NUTS for this body milk. Because it's a body milk it isn't rich (like a body butter) but it is very moisturizing, sinks in to my skin quickly and smells heavenly! :)
Try it! I think you'll love it! :)

mini stamps and crochet v stitch
Hello!
Hope all is well!
We got snow here in Zagreb! I shared more pics on my Instagram. Today is such a beautiful day...just look at that sky! :)
The sentiment is from my Doodle Flowers stamp set.
I used my Graph'it markers to colour the flowers.
I started a baby blanket (there are a couple of family members who are expecting!!) and because these babies will be born in the spring/summer I chose a cotton mix yarn and the V-stitch to keep it light and airy. You can check out this video if you're interested in trying this stitch...it's very easy! :)
Pop by the JD blog and check out Ange's FABULOUS card using my Stripes and Dots stamp set!
Have a lovely day!

friday favourites
Hello!
Hope all is well! Did you have a lovely Christmas? I can't believe it's over. I was NOT ready for Christmas this year....I literally did my shopping the day before. I was overwhelmed with so many dead lines that I didn't get a chance to get all excited for Christmas....AND Mia and Jakov have ear infections but Jakov also has a fever so there! I'm going to get ready for xmas in JULY!! I'm not joking! Start making my cards, gift shopping, crafts...
Anyhow...on to my Friday favourites!!
It's all abour GREY people! I love to wear grey, black, white/cream....my mom always tries to get me to wear colour poor lady! lol! I just feel my best in these neautral shades...here and there I'll buy something with colour.
I got a gift card from my husband and kids and I bought a grey thin knit sweater and grey (darker shade than the sweater) pants which inspired my Friday favourites! :)
I LOVE this shade and will be buying it! :) It's Essie's Miss Fancy Pants...if not for the colour you've got to buy it for the name! ;)
LOVE this space! LOVE the wood and neautral colours and I love when a space isn't cluttered with things.
One of the latest trends in the paper crafting, card making world is using sequins....could easily become a hoarding problem! They are perfect to add to you cards, especially when making a shaker card!
Cozy and grey!
I have not worn a watch since Marko's!!! 12 years! This one is just gorgeous..simple, grey with rose gold! So pretty! :)
Have a great day!

I'm behind!
Hello!
I'm so running behind this year...I just got back from Christmas shopping! Yes you read that right! It's just been a never ending cycle of flu, colds, Adrian in the hospital and now Jakov and Mia have ear infections (took them to the doctor's last night!)...anyways I mentioned these chalkboard gift tags I made below...I just used my white gel pen and some white ink to distress it to make it look like chalkboard. For the Christmas tree I just doodled it. The snowman is from a set I designed for the German company Efco. I just stamped it with white ink (or embossing ink if you don't have white) and traced over it with my pen. So if you can't draw or doodle you can use your stamps....just make sure it's not a very intricate design because it will be difficult and a bit messy when you trace over the lines with the white gel pen.
Here's a card I made this morning using my Seamus stamp set and a SRM sticker. I coloured with my Graph'it markers.
I will announce the winners of both my giveaways tomorrow.

random
Hello!
Just popping in to share some random stuff....like I just added 4 new 2x3 stamp sets to the shop. I designed these for Efco and are limited edition in my shop. Keep in mind that it's a 2x3 set...mini! :)
AND I extended the 20% off all clear stamps sale!
I'll share some easy Christmas tags I created today....not heat embossing to create these 'chalkboard' tags...just a white gel pen.
There's a 50% off EVERYTHING sale going on at Accessorize so I snatched up this lovely scarf. Perfect for all you who are still doing some Christmas shopping.
Hope you have a great weekend!

friday favourites
Hello!
First off thank you for all the birthday wishes! :) I'm having a giveaway and will pick the winner on Monday. There's also a giveaway on the JD blog.
On to my Friday favourites. It doesn't feel like Christmas here in Zagreb....it's just too warm! :( They predict NO snow this month. I think I'm going to have to buy some of those snowflakes you can adhere to your windows to make me feel better.
This is a super cute and easy idea that I will be doing!
I love berry wreaths!
I love this scarf (and the sweater, nails...). There's a similar scarf that I saw in Accessorize and I heard that everything's 50% off!!! I'll be popping over there tonight to check it out.
Perfect!

p.s. pop on over to the JD blog and check out Miriam's sweet card using my Hello Friend stamp set.

happy birthday plain jane!
It's my birthay today! The big 40!
I don't have a problem with getting older...I really do believe ageing is a privilage but what bothers me is how FAST time is going by! I have too many ideas in my brain and can't get them out quick enough!
Let's move on to the giveaway! When I saw this storage basket I knew I just had to get it....perfect for all my crochet gadgets and yarn. And the incredibly talent behind this basket is Zrinka of Owls and Co.
Here's some photos for you to get an idea of the pockets and storage space.
And here's the one I'm giving away!!!! Do you love it or do you LOVE it!!!! :)
This giveaway is open to everyone. Leave me a comment about what you'd like to see here on my blog? I will choose the winner on Saturday.
Good luck!

Workshop at Do!ts
Hello!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
I'm so exhausted and I'm tired of hearing myself saying it over and over! Kids all have colds, more work than I can take...messy house!!
I had a private workshop with some of my crafty gals at Do!ts yesterday. I wanted to share with them how I make shaker cards and do a little heat embossing too. It was so fun, lots of laughs and chocolate!
We used my Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Warm Wishes and Stripes and Dots stamp sets.
Here are some photo's from yesterday....
I had some scraps and leftovers from yesterday to make this simple card.
My youngest fell asleep on the couch....think I'm going to go and join him!
