friday favourites

Hello!
Hope all is well!
I'm not feeling well but today I'm a bit better! :)

Sharing my favs with you starting with this! LOVE the dining table...exactly what I want for our home!

I'm totally bummed that summer's coming to an end...it literally flew by!! But every season has it's charm and beauty and I just love Fall colours, especially wearing them on my nails!

Mirror, mirror on the wall.......

I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo...first of all there's needles, blood...pain involved! And the fact that I might get sick of it after a while! These Beauty Marks by Mr. Kate are perfect faux tattoos!

Have a great weekend!

Spotlight Blog Hop

Update: Angeline can't make it for the hop (her stamps arrived late) so please skip Angeline and go straight to Ange.

Hello!

I've been so busy working with a German manufacturer that I don't know whether I'm coming or going!! More on that soon! :) I forgot to send Jennifer one of the stamp sets in this spotlight blog hop!! (It's in the mail girl!)
Anyways...so glad you're joining us for this Spotlight Blog Hop!
We're spotlighting our newest stamp sets.

And let me just get out of the way my photos....serves me right for waiting last minute to photograph my projects...it has been raining all day and NOW as I type this the sun came out! :)

I just LOVE colouring!! And this set is so fun and easy to colour...it really is! I used my Graph'it markers to colour and did a little masking so that the books are behind her. For the books on her left I covered the top book with a post-it before inking in up. And for some reason books and apples make sense to me!! :)

I had this hair cut most of my childhood life! :)

Who doesn't like flowers??!! This set is perfect for so many stamping techniques don't you think?!
I like fussy cutting...it relaxes me....I have issues! :) I have been asked if JD will have JD dies....hmmmm....

Wise Owl is another set that's perfect for lots of different techniques. I coloured the feathers with Graph'it markers (water colours would have been gorgeous too). I then add a little glitter with a glitter pen...it's not in your face glitter...just a touch! :)

Like all my stamp sets they are hand drawn by me (pencil/pen and paper).
We've got a very special guest designer (the wonderfully talented Jennifer McGuire) and two new JD design team members who are brilliant AND of coarse I'm giving away all three sets to one lucky winner (so make sure and comment)!!

Hop away!! :)

Nin 2014 + winner!

Hello!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I promised to share some more photo's of our summer vacation and one of the cities we visited (over and over) is Nin. If you follow my blog you already know that Nin is very special to me....my mother is from Nin, I got married in Nin...and it's funny but I feel at home in Nin.

Crossing over the bridge into Nin you'll always come across this beauty!

And if you ever come to Nin you MUST visit the Salt Musem (and gift shop).
I bought these two packs for friends. Hand picked salt with dried basil. Again if you follow me you know I have already blogged about this but if you haven't seen it click here! :)

Church tower (where I got married).

I just love all the stone!

The beaches in Nin are gorgeous....everything from rock, pebbles to sand!

We go into Nin in the evenings to walk around and to get ice cream (my new favourite is yogurt ice cream), there's always something going on (plays outdoors, music, concerts).

I recommend my cousin's restaurant Branimir for some DELICIOUS food and gorgeous atmosphere!

This was our view while we were eating dinner! And that would be the Church of the Holy Cross from the 9th Century!

We were so lucky to have amazing weather the whole 2 weeks we were there (this summer has been nothing but rain here in Croatia), only one day was cloudy and we choose that day to roam around in Nin and have dinner.

Oh Nin...I love you so! :)

And to announce the winner of Marina Marinski's handmade ceramic brooch....

This is true! A little challenging for me since I'm not a morning person! ;)

If flowers don't inspire you...I don't know what will!

I do love white kitchens but what caught my eye is the white and black stripped rug...I want to crochet a throw exactly like this for my bed!

LOVE!

I will be announcing the winner of my little giveaway on Monday...until then have a lovely weekend!

happy mail + sweet little giveaway

Hello!
Hope all is well!
I screwed up my back (which is very easy to do since I have a bad back) yesterday mowing my neighbours lawn so a lot of moans and groans from me today! ;)

I received some happy mail yesterday! My sweet little pot arrived created by the talented (and super nice) Marina Marinski! This is my first purchase but not my last...I want to buy a plate to hang in my daughter's room and I need another little something for my office...or bedroom...

Marina's got an Etsy shop filled with her wonderful handmade ceramics.
Like I mentioned she's super friendly and her English is awesome (for all those non-Croatian folks wondering).

You can find her sweet ceramics all the way in Australia (among other countries) and I just love following her success and creations!

And here's my sweet little ceramic pot, perfect home for my succulent plant! LOVE her rosy cheeks! I'll have to name this pot...any suggestions! :) She's made her home on my kitchen window sill where I spend a lot of time.

Marina's also on facebook!

The latest I read is that you can now find her ceramics in Vancouver Canada too!

I had sent her some of my stamps a while back and she was sweet enough to send me this adorable ceramic brooch. I've decided to pass her generosity and do a little giveaway! :)

So if you'd like to win this Marina Marinski handmade ceramic brooch please leave a comment and I'll randomly choose a winner. Everyone is welcomed to play a long...so I hope you do! :)

Have a great day!

vrsi 2014

Update: For those who won my crochet heart tags, I'm so sorry I'm so late sending them...unfortunately my husband lost two relatives in a matter of couple of days and left for the funerals....it left me out of it for a couple of days. I hope you understand. All will be send this week!

Hello!
And I'm back! Wish we could have stayed longer but grateful for the 2 weeks we had! :)

We stayed in Vrsi Mulo with my aunt (who lives in Canada and comes for the whole summer in her home in Vrsi Mulo). Isn't it just gorgeous!! Her house is the third up from the beach...1 minute walk people!! My Baba (grandma who is 92 years old and still going strong, she's got an older sister and brother too!) was born in Vrsi so when ever I go somewhere with my aunt I get introduced to family I am not aware of....it seems I'm related to half the locals there! :)

The beach is a mix of pebbles and rock and it's clean and beautiful!

I know I've got the skinniest kids!! LOL! Both my husband and I were skin and bone when we were kids. Don't have that problem anymore! ;)
My oldest is giving the thumbs up...the youngest is standing like he owns the beach! lol!

I wore this gorgeous blue nail polish by Essie most of the time called lapiz of luxury but I assure you it looks so much different in real life...here in the photo it looks much brighter than it really is.

I ate so many figs....I lost count!

PEEK-A-BOO!

My aunt took us out for pizza at this hotel/restaurant called Vukić which happens to be owned by my mother's best childhood friend and her husband(they were inseparable) so it was great meeting her and her husband. Their hotel is right on the beach...I don't know why I didn't take a photo of it so I found one online.

We had yummy pizza, ćevapi and fries! The kids told me to leave a good tip so that should tell ya something about the food and service! :)

I'll be sharing more pictures of our time in Nin soon!
Have a great day!
