need a hug

Hello!
Need a hug? If you ask me you can never give or receive too many hugs! :)

I created this card using my Jungle Baby stamp set (I'm sold out but there are a few left at Simon Says Stamp) which I coloured with Graph'it markers. The sentiment is from my Nuts About You set.

Hello!

How's it going? :) I hope well.

Lately I've been doing my background with water colours....it's easy and quick!

For this card I used my Hello Friend, Stripes and Dots and Nuts About You stamp sets. I coloured the fox with my Graph'it markers.

I think you can never give or receive too many hugs....my family is a very huggy one! ;)

Take care!

for you

Hello!

I had some left overs from the card I made yesterday and it was big enough for me to die cut a tag and make a cute tag to go along with the card.

The stripes are from my Stripes and Dots stamp set. Fun and easy background to make. The squirrel is from my Nuts About You stamp set.

As always I used my Graph'it markers to colour. :)

life is good

Hello!

Popping in to share I card I made this morning. :) The inspiration behind this card was a gift bag I bought (I should have taken a photo of it) last weekend for a birthday my kids went to. It was white with different coloured stripes....which I recreated using the thin stripe from my Stripes and Dots stamp set. Easy and cute background!

Just check out these BFF's! :)

I did some masking and coloured with my Graph'it markers. I used my Spring and Nuts About You stamp sets and a SRM sticker for the sentiment.

I found a dupe for Ranger's Glossy Accents....it's Hobby Line's Schmuckstein Kleber! Try and say that 5 times if you're not German! :) I used it on the heart above....leaves the same raised glossy effect and I use it to glue my gems and sequins...it's brilliant! :) I buy mine at Muller.

Pop on over to the JD blog and check out Miriam's adorable card!!

love you

Hello!

Popping in to share this card I made using my Hello Friend and Nuts About You (for the sentiment) stamp sets.

To make the tiny hearts on my background I first coloured my background with my favourite colour (for backgrounds - Graph'it 7101) and then with the colourless blender marker (Graph'it 0000) I made my hearts...easy! ;)

Yesterday I shared this photo (below) on instagram. I really love these pigment inks by Stamperia.

I used the red in to stamp my stripes (from my Stripes and Dots stamp set) and as you can see the colour is very pigmented.

love you

Happy Friday!!

Popping in to share this cute card I created using my Nuts About You stamp set...perfect for a Valentine's Day card don't you think! :)

You can notice that there's no black outline I usually have when stamping my images for colouring. For the squirrel I used black ink but stamped it twice on a scrap piece of paper before stamping it on my cardstock...same thing for the sign only I used Memento's Desert Sand. It is a bit tricky colouring this way but all you need is a bit of practice. I used my Graph'it markers to colour.

I'll be posting my Friday favourites later in the day! :)

CAS + one layer card

Hello!
Hope all is well!

I'm sharing a CAS and one layer card today. The photo's are horrible...I don't have a camera (I'm shopping for one) and especially when I take a picture of a lot of red it's just meh!

Anyways I used my Warm Wishes and Nuts about you stamp sets.
I used red paint for my background, the more messy and uneven the better! :) Let that dry and then took my wood grain stamp and stamped over the red with white ink and finally stamped the sentiment...clean and simple!

I instagramed an email I received from a customer. It made me so happy...and I thank all of you for your patience with all the changes going on in JD.

Have a great day!

Hello!
Hope all is well!

Another flash sale people! I thought it would be fun to have a sale on the stamp sets used on my card! :)

For this card I used Nuts about you and Butterflies!

I heat embossed the woodgrain stamp with white embossing powder and then blended over the whole pattern with ink. I stamped, coloured (with water colours) and cut out the butterfly and then layered it with some die cut butterlies.

Butterflies and Nuts about you are marked down 20% and this flash sale ends tomorrow!

changes

Hello!
Hope all is well!

Where do I start! Those who follow my blog know that I struggle with trying to find a way to be a stay at home mom and work at home mom. My kids are in school for 3,5 to 4,5 hours and the homework is ridiculous! I just found out that in order for your child to sign in to a good high school they have to have all A's and they start looking at the grades from grade 5!! Anyways...I'll get way off track if I continue about the schools here so as I was saying I struggle with finding that balance between all my responsibilities at home and work.

I never ever planned on doing something like Jane's Doodles. It's not like I said I want to design stamps and have my own stamp company one day or that I was stamping for a couple of years or experience in that field. It all just literally snow balled into this. From starting my blog (which also was total coincidence) and having certain talented ladies telling me....you should design your own stamps and pointing me in certain directions that led me to where I am today.

One particular talented lady who made all this possible....Judith of coarse! I will always be grateful to her, without her there would be no Jane's Doodles! A total stranger emails me and says I'll give you the money to make your first batch of stamps and we'll take it from there. I couldn't believe it! I mean who am I to design my own stamps....I haven't made a name for myself in the crafting world. Has she lost her mind!!! LOL! Well I said yes of coarse!

Which now brings me to the first change in Jane's Doodles and that is Judith is stepping down. It's come to a point where Judith is unable to give 100% to Jane's Doodles. And I understand her completely because this is a problem I have and I have spent the last few months thinking about.....the future of Jane's Doodles. I can't tell you how many times I cried because I don't know if I could do this....especially now on my own!! But Judith will always be apart of the Jane's Doodles team, someone I can turn to for advice and help. It meant a lot when Judith said:

I believe in you as much today as I did when we started, you are extremely talented.

So Judith is slowly teaching me how to run the shop, taking orders etc.  I please ask for patience and understanding as I learn this aspect of Jane's Doodles.

Another change is that my stamps will be manufactured in the UK from now on. This manufacturer is based in the UK and the USA and the stamps are made of the same material (photopolymer clear stamps) and the same high quality (which is a must, the most important thing to me is quality). I have tested the stamps out and I am very pleased with the quality. They stamp the same as my other JD stamps.

Why the UK? Well I live in Croatia and it only makes sense because of the shipping costs and distance. Usually it would take about 2-3 weeks for my stamps to come where as it would take 3-5 days from the UK!!

I can't predict the future for Jane's Doodles....I'm not going to lie...it's tough. The majority of my customers are from the USA....and living in Croatia is not to my advantage for several reasons. This country is still going through a recession and it's pretty bad which is another reason Jane's Doodles is more than just doing what I love but also it's an extra income that is much needed.

Our next release will be late due to the changes going on and I want to thank all who support me in this journey. I'm freaking out, scared....can I do this alone???? I don't know.
I only know that after much thought and tears....I'm going to just go with the flow!

xo

For my card I used Nuts about you and Fly High.
