I wanted to share my favourite body scrub. If you love natural products and vanilla and almonds you'll love this scrub!

Sapunoteka is a Croatian brand (and one of my favourite brands for natural products). Super friendly people behind this brand and they speak English.

There is also a lavender body scrub and lemon body scrub.

Let's talk about this yummy vanilla and almond body scrub. The smell is divine. Because of the gorgeous oils in this product (almond, coconut, olive and vanilla oil....amazing group of oils) you don't need to moisturize your skin after you use this in the shower. The smell isn't too strong on the skin after you use it. And what I love about it as well is that you can get dressed right away, your skin is not left oily but super soft like velvet!

The ingredients are: Sea Salt, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Olea Europea (Olive) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glycerine, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) oil.

quick and easy rice dish

The only reason I'm sharing this
is because my oldest who since forever has been such a picky
eater LOVES this dish! I mean he wants seconds!
Tears and tears I haved cried when he was a toddler, he lived off of bread and milk!!!
He's 13 now and much much better but still won't eat everything and won't try new things.

Marko: Where did you find this recipe?
Me: I just made it up.
Marko: can you make this once a week?
Me: I can make it whenever you want!! (happy dance)

This is so easy and quick. I read somewhere that you can cook rice and keep it in the fridge for up to a week so cooking a big pot of rice and having it ready is great for busy days.

I basically saute some onion (one onion to be exact, you can throw in some garlic too but I didn't have any at the time) with olive oil.

I added some turkey that I cut up into chunks (you can absolutely leave out the meat), cook them until they are no longer pink.

For my seasoning I used some sea salt, dried parsley and tumeric.

I always have a bag of frozen peas, carrots and corn so I added that and cooked for a few more minutes (doesn't take long). I then stirred in my brown rice and there you have it...so easy and you can add whatever you want really but no matter how much of this I make there's never enough...all 3 of my kids (and hubby) ask for seconds.

graph'it markers

I was given a challenge by Graph'it to only use these 9 new colours on a card. I immediately thought of using my Home Sweet Home stamp set. It wasn't too hard. To create darker shades I would just keep layering and build up the colour and to lighten a colour I used the blender marker 0000.

I did use the colour Glass on the window (so a cheated just a smidge). I love Graph'it markers, it's the only marker I use to colour my stamped images.

I got my second iHerb order last week and I will be shopping there again! Everything from the great selection, prices and international shipping options I highly recommend iHerb!

When ordering overseas I'm always nervous about paying extra taxes or customs fees so I keep my order pretty small.

Click on this link
and get $5 off your first order!

The first time I ordered I got this Kiss My Face sunscreen and I'm half way through that I ordered another one (obviously I love it!) and I ordered this vanilla hand lotion to have at my kitchen sink because my hands are really dry. So far I really like it. The vanilla smell is very strong (in case you're sensitive to strong scents)...I don't mind it.

I have a long wish list (too long to share everything in this post) and here are some goodies I hope to get.

Manuka honey is suppose to be really good for skin so this caught my eye.

I'm just about to run out of my 100% Pure Vitamin C serum (which I bought during one of their 40% off sales) and plan to buy this one.

I heard this is a effective and gentle Retinal.

Or I might get this one. I love the name and packaging! I have a few more goodies from Mad Hippie that are on my wish list.

I'm obsessed with vitamin C and I'm thinking this would be a great toner for my teenager with teenage skin.

I only wear perfume oils. The 'regular' perfumes give me headaches. This one by Pacifica I think would be great for spring and summer. And don't you just love Pacifica packaging!!
I notice Mia being very interested in make up lately and I'm thinking when the time comes I'll buy her some Pacifica make up...maybe she'll share with me! ;)

Have you shopped at iHerb....any favourites?

Indie Beauty Expo or BUST! + free digi

I'm so excited I could share this illustration I did for Mari and Sammie. I follow these two beauties on Instagram (for those who don't know I love all things beauty....creams, lotions, balms and oils...make up too and I prefer them to be natural (without nasty ingredients and cruelty free) so when Mari aka the Goofy Mermaid (I mean I'll follow her just for that name!!) asked me if I could come up with an illustration for them I pretty much flipped! And then panicked! I hate drawing 'people'. Always have but I gave it a go and to my delight they loved what I came up with.

In short these two ladies are roadtripping up to the Indie Beauty Expo in NY in August (what I would do to go!!) and they're bringing some of their favourite brands and doing a scavenger hunt with their followers along the way (passing by Zagreb by any chance?!).

(hand drawn and coloured with Graph'it markers)

Also I'm sharing a little Easter bunny digi I drew up this morning so feel free to grab it.

I'll be posting my Friday favourites tomorrow!

It ain't easy being a woman but I sure am grateful the Lord made me one. :)

spring cleaning

What have I done! LOL!!!

I am drowning in clothes but I am making progress! I just pray no one comes over in the next few days because there are clothes EVERY WHERE!!!
So I probably will not be posting much this week but I will share photo of the end result of my 'closet spring cleaning'.

I also wanted to share this. Have any of you watched or heard of The True Cost? I literally cried when I watched the trailer. I showed my two oldest and had a serious talk about it. Mia had tears in her eyes which makes me feel good because it bothered her and it should. We should be ashamed of ourselves and like the person said we can do so much better! Please click on the link and take a look.
