I am drowning in clothes but I am making progress! I just pray no one comes over in the next few days because there are clothes EVERY WHERE!!!
So I probably will not be posting much this week but I will share photo of the end result of my 'closet spring cleaning'.
I also wanted to share this. Have any of you watched or heard of The True Cost? I literally cried when I watched the trailer. I showed my two oldest and had a serious talk about it. Mia had tears in her eyes which makes me feel good because it bothered her and it should. We should be ashamed of ourselves and like the person said we can do so much better! Please click on the link and take a look.
Spring cleaning has been on my brain lately. Last night when I was at the post office shipping off orders I saw this book (Croatian version below).
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing
I remember hearing about this book and thinking I've got to get it. I will just don't know if I should get it in Croatian (to practice my Croatian) or to get it in English which I would enjoy much more. :)
Since I started Jane's Doodle my spring cleaning pretty much didn't work out as I planned and I realize that I was very unrealistic with the actual time I had and the tasks and I gave myself.
Check out this video. I don't know about you but it got me excited! :)
I'm starting my spring cleaning tomorrow and I'm tackling the closets. I will give myself more time this year and I'll share my progress here on the blog.
For inspiration and ideas pinterest is the place to go.
You've got free printable Spring Cleaning challenges and check lists.
I've got my huge garbage bags ready so I can sort the clothes out (either give my kids clothes that are too small to friends and family, to my church or recycle).
I'll be starting on this closet in our hallway. I'm sorry for the bad photo but we're having yucky weather (rain, wind, grey and dark outstide).
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! I have been planning to start my spring cleaning and my washing breaking down got things rolling! So I started with my laundry room (which originally wasn't suppose to be a laundry room but a washroom....it's such a long and stressful story...I wouldn't even know where to begin!)...it's a small space but it totally works....most homes in Croatia have their washing machines and dryers in the bathroom and that's how it was for us until we decided to turn this space into a laundry room...nothing fancy but I'm happy with it. I do have some ideas for this room but for now it is what it is! :) So I scrubbed, dusted, cleaned everything in there inside out!! And the washing machine is fixed! Sorry about the photos...there's no natural light in there and I got only one ceiling light.
I also crocheted a cute little rug....I feel an addiction coming along...crocheting with hemp! :) I just did a simple single crochet for the whole rug.
Behind the door to the right I keep the ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
I have now moved onto the hall closet and pulled everything out and....I feel like I'm drowning in clothes, sheet, blankets.....help! :)
