handstitching

Hi!
Lately I have been doing a lot of handstitching on my projects and what perfect timing...the CREATE blog is having another CARDS challenge and it's handstitching! :)

So I drew this cute cat, cut out a template and traced it on orange cardstock that I had already stamped with Hero Arts Large Canvas Stripes (LOVE that stamp). I also created my 'notebook page' using Hero Arts Ledger cling...then I lightly using a ruler drew a few lines in red. I also used SRM stickers (Sticker Sentiments #51003 Happy Birthday)...I often cut the stickers up like in this case...I just wanted the word 'birthday'.

LOVE to do handstiching...very theraputic BUT not when you have 3 bambinos running around yelling MAMA, MAMA, MAMA.... I need to get myself a sewing machine!!

Also make sure to pop by on Monday for a little 'One Buck Monday'...if you like to use digi stamps I've got a new one and it'll sell for $1 all day Monday before I send it off to Squigglefly.

Have a great weekend!

I smeared white ink over the yellow pp to soften it up a bit....lots of hand stitching (need to get myself a sewing machine!!).

My kids are on Easter holidays (here in Croatia we don't have March break...instead Easter holidays) and of coarse the forecast for this week.......RAIN!!!

Treat bag tutorial

Hi!
I LOVE making treat bags for people and I LOVE using paper bags (the kraft kind). This simple project also fits in perfectly for Moxie Fab World's The Gift Wrap Challenge.

I pulled out all my scraps...I just LOVE it when I can use up my scraps of pattern paper and cardstock.

I started off by tracing all the shapes I wanted for this projects. I haven't used these Fiskars templates in ages!!!

I cut them out using Fiskars Micro-Tip Scissors (No.5) which I find just perfect for detailed cutting. To create my grass I used Fiskars Scalloped Daisy Embossing border punch and Fiskars Paper Edgers Pinking scissors.

I then assembled all my pieces and ahdered them to the paper bag. I had these little 'tab' left over from a Spellbinders Labels die cut and added a SRM sticker and handstitched it to the paper bag.

Do you notice a new handmade button??? I plan on adding some of these vintagy style handmade buttons to my shop soon.....perhaps a little giveaway...  :)

Personally....I'd love to receive this cute little treat bag for Mother's Day...preferably filled with M&M's (the peanut kind please)!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day card

Hi!

Here's a Mother's Day card I created using some gorgeous Pink Paislee pattern paper and a sticker from SRM's Express Yourself #42028 Mother's Day set.

The flower is my Big Bloom digi stamp available here at Claudia & Co. I printed it on cardstock twice, cut it out and added some shading using one of my copics in a similar shade as the cardstock. I adhered the SRM sticker onto a Bazzill Basics Just the Edge cardstock strips.

Pop on over to the SRM blog for some eye candy!! (the wrong card was added to SRM's post today...just so you know)

butons

Hi
Just a little Etsy update..I will be putting the shop on 'vacation' so I can finish up my orders and catch up on EVERYTHING else!

I thought I'd show you how I make my roses and daisies....I make the 'original' flower and then make a mold of it....I made the white daisy for my wedding invitations...all 85!!! If I had only know then what I do now! :)

...that I then use to make my embellishments. I plan to make some other molds soon.

I will be back later today to announce the winners of my Cozy Arm Chair digi stamp.

Lily Pad Cards

Welcome to the Lily Pad Cards blog hop! I'm so excited to be apart of this FABULOUS blog hop!!! You should be arriving from Vanessa Menhorn's blog. Remember if you hit a bad link you can always go to Lily Pad Cards.

This blog hop features seven blogs per day when it culminates on Friday, April 1, which is today (can you believe it's April!?!)... with the grand opening of Lily Pad Cards. Lily Pad Cards is a new challenge blog that will feature interviews, articles, videos, challenges, great prizes, and more!

So the theme is Welcome and I was inspired to draw a cozy arm chair for this occasion and it is available at Claudia & Co. as a digital stamp.

I stamped cardstock with polka dots using white ink...printed the arm chair on it, cut it out and distressed it. I printed it once again on this gorgeous turquoise cardstock and cut it out. I'd love to give my comfy arm chair digi stamp (which also comes with a sentiment) away so I'll randomly pick a few who comment on this post.

Now hop on over to Nichol Magouirk blog!!
