little corner

I'm hoping to get my 'office' space organized. My office is in a corner in my living room :) Not ideal but it is what it is. I'm a work at home/stay at home mama which means I don't have a typical working schedule. My working time is interrupted a billion times for all the reasons a stay at home mama has.....driving the kids wherever they need to go, cooking, cleaning, school, etc. 

Anyhow I've been window shopping and pinning some things I'd like to get for my little corner.

This is the desk I have (from Ikea). Above my desk there's nothing on the wall.

I want to put this on the wall above my desk to be my notice/mood/inspiration board.

And I would like to put this shelf about the board where I'd put some artwork, framed photos etc.

There's a drawing I did ages ago that I want to frame and put on this self. It's a painting I came across from one of the artists of The Group of Seven and  it just spoke to me so I did it (poorly) but I love it anyways. :)

Hello!

Yesterday late afternoon we went to Ikea....my kids love going there for some reason....had a little dinner and did a little shopping. 

I've had my eye on Ikea's Raskog for a while.

I set up my work space down in the basement but it just doesn't work. Our basement is not apart of our home...I mean I have to go out onto the front porch down some stairs and into the basement. And  because of my CRAZY schedule (I drive to the school 4 times every day picking and dropping off my kids. They don't start and finish at the same time AND Mia and Marko for example go in the morning and Jakov goes in the afternoon and it switches every week. AND they're not in school all day...for example Jakov when he goes in the morning is in school from 7:50 am to 11:25. So I always have kids at home...never kid free, which I don't mind it just makes it very difficult for me to work.) with school, jazz, soccer, preparing and cooking 3 meals, cooking, cleaning...bla bla...so working here in the living room is difficult because I am being interrupted all the time it's the best solution now.

So here's my corner....to the left is our bird Pepi who likes to make a mess so I need to go back to Ikea to get some containers for my stuff to put onto the Raskog. I want containers with lids so it's easy to keep things clean and organized.

This Pluggis series looks good.

The Samla series is also good. I buy the bigger ones (with lids) to store my stamps for the shop so they are protected, dust free. I saw there are some smaller ones good for washi tape, sequins, etc.

I also have plans for the wall. I want to make something like this. I just have to figure out the size (because I want to make a gallary wall) and what message, passage I want to write. Something that will inspire and motivate me (and my family).

Hello!

Hope all is well! Did you have a lovely Christmas? I can't believe it's over. I was NOT ready for Christmas this year....I literally did my shopping the day before. I was overwhelmed with so many dead lines that I didn't get a chance to get all excited for Christmas....AND Mia and Jakov have ear infections but Jakov also has a fever so there! I'm going to get ready for xmas in JULY!! I'm not joking! Start making my cards, gift shopping, crafts...

Anyhow...on to my Friday favourites!! 

It's all abour GREY people! I love to wear grey, black, white/cream....my mom always tries to get me to wear colour poor lady! lol! I just feel my best in these neautral shades...here and there I'll buy something with colour. 

I got a gift card from my husband and kids and I bought a grey thin knit sweater and grey (darker shade than the sweater) pants which inspired my Friday favourites! :)

I LOVE this shade and will be buying it! :) It's Essie's Miss Fancy Pants...if not for the colour you've got to buy it for the name! ;)

One of the latest trends in the paper crafting, card making world is using sequins....could easily become a hoarding problem! They are perfect to add to you cards, especially when making a shaker card!
