bite beauty

I have been dying to try Bite Beauty lipsticks and finally I got my hands on some! I was gifted these gorgeous lipsticks and I LOVE THEM!

I love the pigmentation, texture, the packaging....everything!

Cashew and Praline are Bite Beauty's Multisticks and can be used on the eyes, cheeks and lips and they are FABULOUS!! Not drying at all, blend like a dream. I just really want to have them all now! :) Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche lipsticks that I have are Fig and Pepper....LOVE!

swatch it - vapour organic beauty

So I made a little order at Naturisimo. My husband and son both like Schmidt's Tea Tree deodorant (I bought the travel size for them to test out).

I also ordered a sample of Vapour's Mesmerize Eye Color in Flash. It is GORGEOUS!!!

The only problem is I have really REALLY dark eye circles (always have and it seems they're getting darker as I get older) and to show you I'm sharing this photo of me on my wedding day (I'm looking down so you can see my eye lids). I'm not wearing a stitch of eyeshadow!!! I've had girls ask me what shade I wear on my lids! LOL!

It doesn't show up on my eye lids so I tried putting it on my cheeks and it gives me a nice sun kissed look! I actually really love it. It blends like butta! Just gorgeous! I wish I had normal eye lids! lol.

isadora - twist-up matt lips

Lipsticks are another one of those things I'm all 'my precious' about. LOVE.
IsaDora is a Swedish brand. It use to be available at Muller but unfortunately not anymore. My friend (who lives in Sweden) gifted me this Twist-Up Matt Lips and I LOVE it!

They claim to use first class ingredients that are fragrance free and clinically tested (not animal tested), IsaDora is also suitable for sensitive eyes and sensitive skin.

The shade I have (and love) is 51 Bohemian

Benefits of IsaDora Twist-Up Matt Lips:
– Velvet matt finish.
– Creamy yet lightweight.
– Intense and long lasting.
– Special shaped tip for an easy and precise definition of the lip contour.
– Handy, retractable twist-up pen – no sharpener needed.
Contains : Papaya fruit extract and Orchid flower extract

All the above is true. It doesn't dry out my lips, applies like a dream. LOVE it!
I would order more but my SIL is bringing some Bite Beauty lipsticks for me, I have been eyeing Bite Beauty forever!

Like I mentioned IsaDora is no longer available in Croatia but Look Fantastic carries them and I believe they ship worldwide.

I would describe this colour as a dusty rose mauve, your lips but better kind of shade (which I tend to gravitate to the most).

lippies

 Hi!

I love lipstick...and nail polish. :)

I can easily get carried away with these two products. When Society 6 had a sale on their pouches I just had to get one with Cat Coquillette illustration called Watercolor Kisses. These pouches come in three sizes (I got the smallest) and they're exterior is made out of a strong canvas-like exterior and the interior is made of a 50/50 poly-cotton black interior lining and is machine washable.

I bought two pillows from Society 6 and I have a feeling more will be purchased in the future. :) So many awesome artists....I'm even thinking about maybe doing a little art myself to sell at Society 6.

It's got a little pocket/divider in the inside.

While I had all my favourite lipsticks out for a photo shoot I thought I would swatch them for you.

From top to bottom: Alverde Lipliner 16 Pretty Mauve, Lavera Soft Lipliner Rose 01, Alverde 20 Red-Pepper (limited addition), Alverde 27 Dusty Pink, Alverde 52 Primrose, Ilia Bang Bang, Ilia Neon Angel, Ilia In My Room, Logona Double Lip Pencil 01

I LOVE Ilia lipsticks. Funnel of Love and Dress You Up are on my wish list. Alverde is a very affordable German brand and I LOVE their lipsticks.

I also want to try lipsticks by Axiology, Au Naturale and Bite Beauty but I have a rule....one in one out. So when I use up a lipstick I'll buy a new one or I'll end up with 50 lipsticks! I break this rule sometimes with Alverde lipsticks because they are so affordable. :)

One problem with lipstick though.....since I had my kids I don't wear it as much as I use to because it limits my smooching them! :)

favourites - FOTD

Hello!

I wanted to share some favourites of 2014 and I'll start with my face! :)

This is pretty much what I wear on my face on a daily basis....my FOTD which means face of the day (took me such a long time to figure out that one!). I don't like to wear lots of make up, hate wearing foundation, powder...pretty much never wear it.

Andalou SPF 30 serum (love) I MUST wear minimum of SPF 30 (hyperpigmentation) - Vitacost.

If I'm going to be running errands then I'll top Andalou with Nuxe's BB cream (it only has a SPF of 8?? That is the only bad thing I have to say about this BB cream...and the fact that it only has two shade of which I wear the lightest and if you're very fair skinned I think it will be too dark).

For under eye circles, around the ol' schonz I use RMS Beauty's Un Cover Up - Naturissimo.

I use Bourjois's Ultra Care mascara. I have sensitive eyes and this doesn't irritate them. I want to try Lavera's mascara once I'm done with this one.

I go back and for and sometimes blend Ilia's In My Room (love the colour, lasts on the lips but it takes a bit of work to get it on the lips) and Logona's Double Lip Pencil in 01. I LOVE the Logona Double Lip Pencil and want to get other shades - Love Lula.

When my cousin came to visit from Canada her brought me Tarte's blush in Exposed and it's pretty much all I've been wearing.

Lush's Vanillary solid perfum is my FAVOURITE!

All the Christmas 'stuff' is coming down. With all the deadlines I had and sick kids, hubby in the hospital Christmas slipped past me. I didn't even got the Christmas mass because I was home with Jakov (who was sick...and then the next day Mia got sick...then Marko...).

I'm saying goodbye to this Christmas tree. I bought it the first Christmas after my father passed away...so I was 21 (I'm 40 now). I lived in a one bedroom apartment and this tree looked HUGE in it! lol! It looks tiny in our home now.  It's been falling apart the last few Christmas's and looks a tad shabby...looking forward to buying a new tree...or maybe we'll go with real tree's.

Logona Double Lip Pencil

 Hi!

If you're just interested in who won my little giveaway then click here! :)

Last week or so I discovered a new 'green' shop called Green. LOL. I stopped in to take a look and of coarse couldn't leave without buying some kale chips. Might I just add that the women working in the shop were super friendly and full of info...and I got some samples to try out.

I've always been green...I mean I do my best. And I've been switching my cosmetics to natural, green ones so when I saw the Logona cosmetics section in the shop I had to give something a try.

And that something is the Double Lip Pencil in shade 01 Bronze. To be honest the only negative thing I have to say about this product is the name...Bronze...really there's nothing bronze about it in my opinion. I find it to be a mauve colour which is perfect for everyday...your lips but better.

Here's a little info I found...click here for the ingredients.
'This excellent lip pencil is made with the finest natural ingredients in order to care for and pamper the sensitive skin of your lips. It is rich in botanical oils such as castor oil, shea butter and waxes such as beeswax, carnauba and candelilla. These natural oils help to moisturize your lips and keep them soft, supple and healthy so that they will look youthful and beautiful. Our Logona Double Lip Pencil also contains anti-aging organic botanical ingredients including brown algae, apple seed extracts and cranberry seed oil.'

As you can see from the swatches on my arm it's pretty close to Revlon's Mauve It Over (which is one of my favourite lipsticks and have been on the search for a 'green' dupe) especially the lighter shade of the Double Lip pencil.
So one side of the pencil is a shade lighter than the other. It goes on smooth, no drying on my lips and lasts long (as you would expect from a pencil). I would say both shades are satin/matte which I prefer....do not give me lip gloss...I can't stand the feeling of lip gloss on my lips!

I tried to photograph myself wearing it and I just don't know how to take a selfie...the angle is always unflattering...like looking up my nose or something so the arm swatch it is. :)
I love this product and will be checking out the other shades available.

Now....if you need a little crafty inspiration pop on over to the JD blog and check out an adorable card I blog spotted using my Hello Friend stamp set.

FOTD favourites

Hello!

I'm sharing (besides a bad photo) my FOTD (face of the day) products which pretty much is what I've been using throughout the summer. So if you rather see something crafty then I suggest you pop by the Jane's Doodles blog and check out Mariana's FAB card! :)

Let me just stress...I'm not a make up artist nor do I know anything about it!! This is just what works for me (and I'm not very good at describing colours, textures either).

My mom sent me Physician's Formula Organic Wear CC cream and I LOVE it! The coverage is awesome for a cc cream...I didn't expect that! The shade I'm wearing is Light/Medium. It's got an SPF 20. I put my La Roche Posay Anthelios XL 50 underneath (I have both tinted and non tinted....just running errands I'll wear the tinted with a little RMS Beauty uncover up under my eyes.

Bourjois's Volume Glamour Ultra Care mascara is one of my favourites. It's for sensitive eyes and I have no irritation when I wear it. It's a bit wet when you first use it but after a few time the texture is just right! :)

RMS Beauty Un Cover Up is one of my newest discoveries (I have shade 22)! I use it mainly for under my eyes (might I stress that I have horribly dark circles...totally genetic and need circus make up to make it disappear. Un Cover Up lighten the area and makes me look alive if you know what I mean). It's a gorgeous texture, full of natural, amazing ingredients. I ordered mine from Naturisimo (keep an eyes out for sales/deals..they have them often).

On my nails I pretty much wore Essie's Lapiz of Luxury the whole summer.

Another discovery is Sante Naturkosmetik (German brand). I was looking for a 'green' lipstick and came across this brand at Muller and so happy I did. It's a gorgeous pinky coral shade that brightens up my complextion. I love the texture...doesn't dry out my lips.

Another Sante product (which I don't use on my face but I added it in the photo) is their hand cream (Bio-Goji & Olive). Smells so good! Fruity but not a platic fruity smell (if you know what I mean). Perfect for the day time as it doesn't leave my hands greasy or anything.

Tart's blushes are one of my favourites! Dollface is the shade I've been wearing all summer long!

And most of the time I've got good ol' Burt's Bees lip balm on my lips!

Take care!

random

Hello!
Hope all is well!

First to share this card I created using my Doodle Flowers stamp set. Did some simple colouring using my Graph'it markers and a little masking.

There are some new Bourjois goodies that I hope will be coming to Zagreb soon!! Like this Color Boost lip crayon in Peach on the Beach (don't you love the name!!) I'm a sucker for these chubby crayons!!

What is coming soon is Deborah Milano's Glossv Sticks...I will have to try them out....the colours are gorgeous!!

Also I heard great reviews on their new Bronzing Primer....which you could use as a bronzer.

I really hope their new cream blushers will come too! I LOVE cream blush.

My favourite has been Stila's but I've been using MaxFactor's Miracle Touch creamy blushes and LOVE them and are comparable to Stila's.
I bought this one yesterday in Soft Pink...it's looks bright but it really is soft once you blend it out.

That's it for now!
Take care!

random

Hi!

Just wanted to share some random stuff...here's my daughter with our pet budgie Miki! :)

I've mentioned that I LOVE make up and what's weird about that is I don't like to wear a lot of it!??! But I decided to try Bourjois's Healthy Mix Serum foundation (I read lots of great reivews) and I have to say I love it! I love that it doesn't feel like I'm wearing any...I still LOVE my Stila Tinted Moisturizer (my FAV).

Another thing from Bourjois that I'm loving is this concealer stick....it's oil free and doesn't cake up! I use it for my dark circles (my dark circles are genetic...I come from a long line of raccoons! :) I don't think there's a product out there that will conceal them but this comes pretty close!

I bought this nailpolish by Make Up Factory called Maliblu from their latest collection called Bronzage Maritime. I put it on my daughter's nails and the colour is gorgeous...I usually don't go for bright and colourful nails but I thought I'd give this shade a go.

This nailpolish called Fairy Brown is also from this collection...I'm tempted to get this one too!

I've been eyeing this linen cabinet from Ikea for our bathroom! I just love the colour!

Make sure to check out Mariana's gorgeous card over at Jane's Doodles! :)

Have a great weekend!

card sneak peek and nailpolish

Hey!!!
It's Friday!! Woohoo! :)
So...nailpolishes....love em! I discovered a new brand called Anny (German brand)....anyone ever use it?? They are a little over $10 and they've got a gorgeous colour selection...these are my current favourites!!

Sand Storm

Only You

Hudson River

Grey Elegence

Gold Finger

I also discovered Mavala (Swiss brand) nailpolsihes which are cute little mini ones that I actually prefer...OPI (love them) but they are HUGE and literally by the time I get through half of one it dries out and the fact that they cost $20 here in Croatia....yes TWENTY DOLLA!!!!! no thanks!

I have a love-hate reletionship with red nailpolish...but this one caught my eye!! I also like the fact that Mavala nailpolishes are free from parabens, formaldehydes, toluene, camphore, cellophane, animal ingredients and heavy metal.

Cream-Macao

Here's a sneak peek of a card I posted at Jane's Doodles....
