Spotlight blog hop!

Hello!

Welcome to another Jane's Doodles Spotlight blog hop! I'm late...what can I say...as I type this I'm helping myoungest with homework, getting my other two ready for school (they are on different schedules).

Anyways...I'm spotlighting my two newest sets...

I used Cheers to create my first card. This set is great for birthday cards and also great for invitations...like perhaps if you're hosting a new years eve party! :) I think it's funny I drew up this set since I don't drink a drop of alcohol! :)

I did some masking and coloured with my Graph'it markers. I also added glossy accents to make the glasses look shinny (you can't tell on the photos).

For my second card I used the Stripes and Dots stamp set and stamped my background. I also used some pattern paper which is the only thing I hoard of all my crafty supplies. I did some distressing with white ink randomly on the card.

I also heat embossed the polka dots to create a cute background for my tag. I'm not too happy with this white embossing powder...I bought it in Zagreb...never heard of the company...maybe it's the paper I use?? Dyou have a favourite embossing powder, if do please share?

Joining me on this mini blog hop is Jen (I love her simple style) and your last stop is the Jane's Doodles blog of coarse! I'm giving away both stamp sets to one lucky winner so leave comments if you'd like to get your hands on them! ;)

Also I'm offering 20% on both stamps today!

Off to Jen's!

Jane, I love that party time card!!! Great idea to add Glossy Accents to the glasses for some shine. I adore that heart card and tag -- such beautiful colors and textures on both!

Love your cards and tags. I don't drink either ...anymore, lol. But drinks always look so cool Must be all the things they stick into them like the parasols and olives.

I really haven't ever used just plain white even though I have some. The white I usually use has some sparkle in it. It's the Recollections brand that is sold at Michael's. I usually end up using white ink with clear embossing.

I thought I loved the Cheers stamp set, but now seeing what you've done with Stripes and Dots, especially the texture, I'm thinking that one is a must in my collection!!!
