Hey!
I decided to make a quick card while my youngest napped and the other two played together (Marko and Mia really get along great.......actually all three do except that sometimes Jakov (who is two) can be a bother...)
I've noticed that I haven't been enjoying myself doing these challenges........this usually made me relax........now I'm going about it like my life is on the line!!! ;) Why......why I ask!! I think I know why.........I noticed that it's been this way ever since I started my blog............will I get comments?? will I be in the spotlight??? will they love it or hate it!!!!!!!!! Oh Jane....Jane, Jane , Jane!! I had to remind myself why I do this (my crafts)! So this card was fun to make! Might not be the best but I love it and I had FUN doing it!!!!!! I would have loved to do a little sewing on this card but I don't know how!!! My mother in law does have a sewing machine.....how hard is it!!

Anyways, have a great day!!
P.S. I'll post the materials I used later on and don't forget there's still time for my handmade fimo buttons giveaway!
stamps - PTI (Polka Dot Basic, Handwritten Notes), Colorbox Chalk ink, ribbon, my handmade fimo button, Fiskars boarder punch Treading Water, cardstock, pattern paper (PTI 2008 Bitty Box Basics), Spellbinders Labels 1 die
Pin It!

Been there girl. I think we all do this from time to time. About six months ago, I finally "gave up" on being popular, liked, in the spotlight, published, and decided just to have fun. Because let's be real... fun is what got me started!

I do like this card. Great job with the colors!

Jane, I know what you mean! I always wonder if people will like it, and if I would ever get featured! It's good to "get back to the basics" and remember why we started. :) This card is absolutely fabulous- you did a great job. Now I'm off to check out more of your beautiful creations!

Jane, let me start by saying that I LOVE your card...

I've learned this last year that I do what I do because I love doing it, kwim?

I think that we all go through the 'stress' of blogging our creations...we're all 'putting ourselves out there'...

Please know that you do fantabulous work...and I'm so glad that I recently found your blog :)

I love it too - you shouldn't put so much pressure on yourself - your work is fab! Hugs x

Hey Jane! I love both of your cards that you made for this challenge! I hear ya about the stress of blogging and creating! It is hard not to feel the way that you do and that we all do! I haven't been able to do any crafting because we are on vacation and I hope to do better about all the things you listed when I get back. I still want to blog and create and check all my fav blogs but i don't want my life to revolve around it! Hope we can both figure it out! :)

Jane I just started with the blogging so I totally know what you mean! Both your cards rock! I find sometimes these challenges mean I don't always make cards that I love, or need! :>

I know about this pressure, Jane! I have to remind myself that it is all about the fun sometimes, too! Love your card!

Oh my gosh...I was having the same problem. When I saw the challenge, a card idea immediately popped in my head, but now three days later, I have millions of ideas, but can't decide which is PERFECT...which will make the 'Spotlight'...now back to remembering I love creating. Your card is beautiful and so is your blog!

I ♥ your blog girl! Love the card! You neeeeeeeed to try sewing on cardstock!!! Just use some scraps to practice on. It's addicitng! So much fun! I leave my machine out all the time on my scrap table so it's ready for me when the need arises! Love it!

You know what, Jane! I had a similar epiphany this week! Especially when it comes to Dawn's challenges! Everyone does such amazing work! Sometimes it's a little daunting and then trying to anticipate what Dawn's looking for... goodness! This week I had a little talk with myself and just said: make something YOU like and don't sweat it! I loved reading about your struggle: if I knew you in "real life" I'd just give you a big old hug and say, JUST MAKE SOMETHING! You'll be fine! AND YOU DID! I adore your card! Fabulous, honest work, my dear!

*sigh* (aren't bloggers fun!) :o)
