Okay when I saw these colours I said ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! A challenge is a challenge so here's my card. I can't tell you how many times I reached for white card stock!!!
MUST_ HAVE_ WHITE!!!!!! ;)
Anyways, I took quick photos this morning.......the first one is in my daughter's bedroom and the second is outside..............where I came into some furry difficulty as you can see for yourself!! My nephews and nieces from Canada named him Max........he's sooo darn sweet but I think we should have called him Curious George!!
.....after a few unsuccessful shots I finally got this one! There is a slight difference in the colours. I like the photo I took outside better.
Anyways for this card I used my Cuddlebug Swiss Dots folder, and I just had to use my lovely Labels 1 Nest. (I got it in the mail yesterday!!). I drew the butterflies and then cut them out. On the bigger butterfly I used one of PTI's Guide Lines Two stamps......and I used Versamark's ink in Dazzle. My sister-in-law brought me some craft goodies from Canada which includes the red flowers on this card. The brad is from Basic Grey................AND the sentiment which I stamped using Chalk Ink in black is PTI's Handwritten Notes that I won on Betsy Veldman's challenge......here's my card that I made for that challenge! I LOVE Betsy!!!

That's it for me!! Lots to do today so I better get started!
Have a great day!

I'm with you all the way with the colour thing! WOW it was tricky, but look what you've done! THis is super!!! Also love the little slide show and that gorgeous button heart pic you have! Will have to visit again! Well done! (p.s roll on white for the next one hey!!)
I said the same thing when I saw the colors! In the end I loved them! Your card is awesome! I love the bold simplicity!
Love the pretty flower in the middle of your butterfly ... beautiful.
This is so pretty!!!!
PRetty Jane! Love all the different textures and subtle patterns you used but still kept it clean and simple. And what beautiful hand drawn butterflies!
This is fabulous! LOL, I was screaming the same thing...white! I need white! At least cream or something!
This is GORGEOUS, Jane! Love that bold and bright butterfly - way to go pure on the colors in the challenge and NOT USE WHITE! As you saw in my card, I had to throw some in ;)
Gorgeous butterfly!!! Great job with the colors!
this is gorgeous! you HAND CUT those butterflies?? WOW - fabulous job! :)
Beautiful! I love how you used the colors. I struggled with this one but finally came up with something that I will post tomorrow! I love love love those big butterfles!!
You're hilarious! I LOVE YOUR CAT! If it weren't for that pesky white, he could have gone just fine with your card! Tee hee I REALLY struggled with the "white" conundrum myself! Doh! It's gooooood to be challenged, though, huh!?! You made a WONDERFUL card and if I didn't read your post, I would have thought it came VERY easily! Fantastic work!
Great card. Love the butterfly. I had similar trials trying to get a good photo of my card (minus the kitty -- but if I'd gone outside it would've been a dog for sure!).
So Pretty Jane....This was a tough one for me!
So pretty! I love the big butterfly!
Great job on the challenge! I really like the butterflies you DREW---hello? Lovely!
Very cute card. Love that jumbo butterfly and you did just fine without white ;)
This is beautiful!! Love the flower on the butterfly! :)
fantastic! LOVE that butterfly
It's a great card! I know what you mean about wanting white! I love how you cut out the butterflies yourself...

I love your take on this challenge and what a challenge it was too!!! I went for white so many times too but I'm glad we both didn't - your card is beautiful! Love those butterflies!

Beautiful butterfly - I love this pretty card!
Very cute. Love that butterfly!
Love your butterfly, Cute card
Isn't amazing how the colors change from inside to an outside photograph?! I got a giggle from your kittty. Everytime I try to photograph anything outside (which is where I go most of the time), if I try to shoot it on the deck, suddenly my kitties are rubbing on me, the camera, and of course, my paper crafts!! Often, I end up on a low fence. :> Your card came out really well! I love all the subtle textures and prints that make for a fab clean card! :>
You did fabulously with this challenge! Nice, clean layers, and you can't go wrong with a big butterfly! Love the flowers in the middle of the butterfly, too!
Beautiful card Jane. I love the butterflies! You did a great job drawing them yourself.

Yeah,
I say,why buy a cutting machine and die when you can just cut out a butterfly freehand.

Congrats for being in the Spotlight! I've been away for a week so I missed the whole challenge. I love your card! The Spotlight was much deserved!
Congrats Jane! You totally deserve it - this card is awesome ;)
Congratulations Jane... this card is awesome... it deserves to be in the top picks!!
Hey Jane! Congrats on being one of Dawn's top picks! I LOVE taking pics of my cards outside too! The best light is mid afternoon for me. Which means I can't wait until the last minute to finish my cards. I have a lightbox, but the natural light is just perfect IMO. :-)
