purple
Hi!!
Anyways, I'll pick my winner when we get back (August 2nd), until then take care!!
Well we're off.........going down to the coast. It's a small town near the city of Split. I've got mega packing to do (3 small kids........means you take the whole house with you!! ;)) and cleaning. I want to leave another fimo buttons giveaway while I'm gone..........and the colour is as you can see PURPLE!! They are all finished and waiting for someone to claim them. I invite anyone who loves buttons to play along.........and also previous winners........I have to say.......practice makes perfect....well not perfect but the buttons are looking better!
Perhaps you can leave me a message telling me (for the next button giveaway) what colour or colours would you like to see.........different shades of one colour, two complementary colours, a whole rainbow of colours???
Just wanted to add something I found on the Martha Stewart website.........I love organization and this is a great way to organize birthday dates. You can check it out here.
Anyways, I'll pick my winner when we get back (August 2nd), until then take care!!

Hero Arts 'Website' Challenge
I didn't think I was going to make a card for this challenge (still a little out of it) but who could resist!! Especially with all the changes happening at Hero Arts! And this week it's DOUBLE the prizes!! :)
So I found this cute card by the very talented Jennifer McGuire and I have the Four Leaf Grid stamp.........unfortunately I don't have many other Hero Arts stamps (that will change soon :)) I decided to do a little recycling!! I have two Hero Arts catalogs and I cut out the little bird (off the front cover)........let me tell you......the legs and the tail had me cross eyed!!

birthday bird
Hi!
I tell you, if anything these challenges are keeping me up to date with birthdays and other occasions. This card is for my sister-in-law who's birthday is coming up.

Like I mentioned before it's pretty hard shopping for craft supplies here in Zagreb and I do my best when it comes to matching the colours. I pretty much knew what I was going to do right away........pink bird (which I drew and cut) and the rest sort of just fell into place although I have to say I had a pretty hard time with these colours too.....even with cream!!!
Have a great day!
Materials used
Fiskars punch
Colorbox chalk ink, Versamark Dazzle
Basic Grey button
Making Memories Mocha and Rouge Paperie
PTI stamps- Handwritten Notes, Guidelines II
Nesties (can't live without them! ;))

pumpkin, saffron, celery...
Hi!
Let me tell you.......these colour challenges are indeed a CHALLENGE my friends! Living in Zagreb is the first challenge........supplies are well.... scarce when it comes to card making and scrap booking so basically I have to order everything on line.
Now....cardstock..........the first time I walked into the 'paper store' as I call it (it's where I go to buy my card stock......they also sell pencil crayons, paints...) and asked for 'mustard' card stock........(keep in mind that I translate it into Croatian which I think is a challenge in itself!) well lets just say that the lady gave me one of those .........okay, if I could just get this crazy person out of the store and call the cops look!!!!! All their papers have number codes so there's no celery green and basic gray.......... oh I confused myself when I tried to translate basic bloody gray!!!!! it's just not happening!!
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is getting the exact colours needed is sometimes impossible!!!!! So I try my best to get the closest thing!

And since I'm very low with paper (didn't get a chance to run into town) I figured for this challenge I would try out my copics (and when I say my copics I mean all 5 of them! :)) My sister in law from Canada brought me some craft goodies and amongst them these flowers!
The brads are Basic Grey and the button is my handmade fimo button (another giveaway will be happening soon).......
the 'hi' is actually from the packaging of Paper Trunks alphabet stamp set that I snipped off.........I remember watching one of Kristina's videos where she was using a K&Company product and she mentioned how you can use the packaging for your crafts instead of just throwing it out so I thought why not!!
The adorable little girl (my daughter says......is that me mama??) is Sugarplums Waving Emma.......so adorable. I bought a few Sugarplums digi images because of my daughter.......she just love them and wants me to use it for her birthday invitations.
That's it for now! Take care!

enjoy life-second take
Made a tiny change....replaced the pink mini flower brad with a white button. like this much better.
Hi!
Once again perfect timing!! My goddaughter's birthday is coming up (she attends university) so I decided to use the Caardvarks challenge and make her a birthday card.
I made the white flower (above close up) out of fimo. I also used one of the Making Memories flower stamps on the 'grid' paper with Versamark ink..........it's very subtle.

Hi!
First of all I'm SICK as a DOG!! My husband says I'm bananas for doing a card in this state! ;)
Anyways, summer is in full swing at the Hero Arts blog.....this week the challenge is to make a vacation theme card so the first thing that popped into my head was a cute little boat!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #11
Okay when I saw these colours I said ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! A challenge is a challenge so here's my card. I can't tell you how many times I reached for white card stock!!!
MUST_ HAVE_ WHITE!!!!!! ;)
Anyways, I took quick photos this morning.......the first one is in my daughter's bedroom and the second is outside..............where I came into some furry difficulty as you can see for yourself!! My nephews and nieces from Canada named him Max........he's sooo darn sweet but I think we should have called him Curious George!!
.....after a few unsuccessful shots I finally got this one! There is a slight difference in the colours. I like the photo I took outside better.
Anyways for this card I used my Cuddlebug Swiss Dots folder, and I just had to use my lovely Labels 1 Nest. (I got it in the mail yesterday!!). I drew the butterflies and then cut them out. On the bigger butterfly I used one of PTI's Guide Lines Two stamps......and I used Versamark's ink in Dazzle. My sister-in-law brought me some craft goodies from Canada which includes the red flowers on this card. The brad is from Basic Grey................AND the sentiment which I stamped using Chalk Ink in black is PTI's Handwritten Notes that I won on Betsy Veldman's challenge......here's my card that I made for that challenge! I LOVE Betsy!!!

guess which colour?!
today we're going to go buy some shelves for my craft space in the basement.......the basement is still not finished and won't be for some time but it's totally a workable environment (my sister-in-law has her desk down there (she's an architect) our basement has a separate entrance.......anyways, don't have time for details but I mentioned before that I'm moving all my stuff down there and I'm so excited that I'll have a space to do my work without worrying about the mess and kids getting into it all! I'll take picture when I'm all set up.
Can you believe it's July!!!!!!!! I can't! I've been working on some fimo buttons and I'm planning on having another giveaway very soon! I've learned my lesson and doing a few things differently.......like first making the darn buttons THEN posting a giveaway so that when I pick my winners the buttons are all ready to be shipped off right away!
I have to say......it's not a lie when they say 'practice makes perfect'.........while my buttons aren't perfect they are getting better!
I'm using a colour I haven't yet used........can you guess which one???? ;)
