Hello!

I'm preparing for a workshop tomorrow at Do!ts and the theme is LOVE - Valentine's Day! So I've got Valentine's Day on the brain full of pinks and reds! I love that combo..

My Friday favourites is full of sugary pinky - red goodness!

I'm thinking I'm going to have to make these donuts for my daughter's birthday coming up in March.

crochet - cowl (bean stitch)

Hi!

Hope all is well! :)

I had A LOT of work for Efco that I finished today AND I also finished this crochet cowl just in time for my neighbour (it's her birthday).

This is me giving you an idea of how big it is....I think I will make it less 'wide' next time. This yarn (quite expensive) is so gorgeous..so soft.  I've got another (dark grey) cowl and some baby blankets I'm working on. Will share those when they are finished.

I hope you had a lovely weekend! It flew y for me...I worked.

I wanted to share this card I created using my Read All About It stamp set and some SRM stickers. The little froggy is from one of my 2x3 stamp sets I did for Efco (and he's part of my Garden Friends stamp set). I have quite a few 2x3 stamp sets I did for Efco and instead of adding them to my shop I decided to give them away to my customers. A little freebie with your purchase! :)

I used my Graph'it markers to colour.

Hello!

I don't know about you but I plan to spend my Friday night on the couch watching tv and crocheting! I have a full day of work tomorrow.

Anyhow here's my favourites!

I'm not a morning person...I'm not grumpy...it just take me a while to warm up if you know what I mean. I really think I should make these instant oatmeal jars. Doesn't take much thought in the morning and very healthy. :)

Popping in to share this cute card I created using my Nuts About You stamp set...perfect for a Valentine's Day card don't you think! :)

You can notice that there's no black outline I usually have when stamping my images for colouring. For the squirrel I used black ink but stamped it twice on a scrap piece of paper before stamping it on my cardstock...same thing for the sign only I used Memento's Desert Sand. It is a bit tricky colouring this way but all you need is a bit of practice. I used my Graph'it markers to colour.

Ahoy Matey!

Hello!

Popping in  for a little update! I'm working my butt off people!! :) Lots of drawing for JD and for Efco (a German company I draw for)...great thing about that is because I'm the artist I am able to use my drawings for Efco for Jane's Doodles as well! I also have a workshop I'm preparing for.

I'm being asked when the new stamp sets will be available in my shop. Soon! I hope in a months time if all goes planned! :)

Popping in to announce a workshop I will be holding at my favourite crafty place in the whole world - Do!ts

We'll be doing a couple of projects like this chalkboard card which includes some heat embossing action!

Also I'll be sharing some tips and tricks when colouring with Graph'it markers. You'll get a chance to try them out yourself.

I saw this gorgeous card on pinterest by the lovely Laura and tried to make something similar. I was too lazy to go and sew along the top so I stapled it...didn't like it so I covered it with washi tape.

The donut is part of a set I'm working on. I coloured it with my Graph'it markers. The sentiment is a SRM sticker.

Blog spotted

Hello!

This was one of the projects at the SRM booth at CHA where some of my stamps were on show too! Still can't believe it!

Blog spotted this ADORABLE kraft gift box all prettied up with SRM and Jane's Doodles! I'm told Little Miss Mia was very popular at CHA (my daughter is going to love that!). More info on this sweet project by Annette you can find here! 

I do plan on adding Little Miss Mia to my shop as well...I've been sick since Friday...felt better yesterday but today I feel run down! I'm going to take it easy for the next few days. I also finally send out all the orders...I apologize, like I said I was sick and I added some mini stamps that I designed for Efco as a little 'I'm sorry I'm running late' because I always try and ship within 24 hours.

Hello!

Well...it's back to work for me....and I've got tons! I'm drawing some more designs for the German company Efco (I'm flattered that they like my doodles!). New JD designs...coming soon! 

I used my Stripes and Dots stamp set. I wanted the stripes to be really opaque so I first stamped the stripes and then when over them with my black Graph'it marker (and then realized I prefered the way it looked before!!).

Always dream BIG! ;)

Hello!

Most of you know that SRM is Jane's Doodles distributor in the US and I'm so thrilled that some of my stamps made it to CHA! You can find them at the SRM booth!!

Susan also asked if I could take some of my digi stamps and create a 4x6 stamp set like Little Miss Mia below.

friday favourites - on a monday

 Hello!

Hope all is well! I've been sick since Friday night...feel a bit better but I'm sweating buckets just sitting here writing this post!

I'm doing my Friday favourites today so let's jump right into it! :)

I love the portraits...makes me want to try and do one for Mia's room.

I have to be very careful with nail polish....before I know it I have 70 of them...very unnecessary! I've been very careful the last couple of years with buying cosmetics...I'm trying to use as much natural and green cosmetics and limit the amount I buy. I don't need 10 lipsticks....I just don't. And I made a rule that I can't buy another 'item' until I use one up. And I've been good at doing this....except for nail polishes!!! I've seen this shade a few times and love it. It's not pink, it's not purple...what is it??

Spotlight Blog Hop - Seamus

Hello!

So glad you're here to join us for this Spotlight Blog Hop! We're spotlighting my stamp set Seamus which is perfect for Valentine's Day or when you just want to send someone some love! :)

For this card (below) I simply stamped Seamus on white cardstock. Coloured my background first then Seamus. I stamped the ball of yarn on another piece of white cardstock, coloured, cut it out and then adhered it with a foam dot to give it some dimension.

I created my background using my Striped and Dots stamp set.

Next is my shaker card. :)

Originally I was going to have Seamus inside the card but thought it would be fun to have him lying on the front....just chillaxin'! :)

And finally this super easy chalkboard card. I simply heat embossed Seamus and the sentiment using white embossing powder, distressed it a bit with white ink. If you don't have a heat embossing gun then use versamark ink to stamp him and trace over the lines with a good white gel pen like Uni-ball Signo broad....it's the only one I use! :)

I added some googly eyes and gold glittery hearts.
