teacher's gift

Hi!
Well....I survived grade 1!!! ;) I'm so proud of my son...he did just FANTASTIC even with his little problem of not knowing how to speak Croatian 100%.

I worked as a teacher for a few years and have to say they don't get enough love!! It's a demanding job but so rewarding. I don't think I'd ever go and do it again but I learned so much the years I taught...btw I taught English (as a foreign language).

So here's a gift for my son's first grade teacher....

I used some of my new PTI goodies that my goddaughter brought back with her from her trip to Washington. I avoided the ridiculous international shipping costs!

Doesn't my handmade 'woodgrain' button go great with PTI's wood grain embossing plate!! ;)

I found these cute jars on sale....only had 2 but I'm hoping they will be getting more. I'm tempted to spray paint the lids....or maybe I should just leave it...I've got this 'chrome' spray paint...I'll see...

I'll be back with some more teacher's gifts...I've got my daughter's teacher's gift at daycare/preschool.
Thanks for stopping by!!

materials - stamps (PTI), embossing plate (PTI), SU butterfly die, string, handmade button, colorbox chalk ink, memento black ink, EK Success border bunch, cardstock, felt
