buttons and good news

Hi!

Here's another handmade fimo buttons giveaway........these are the buttons that I made last night.......yummy colours! Next batch will be Halloween colours I think.....purple, orange, black and maybe a silver??

Once again....they are NOT perfect. No rules really.......every one's welcomed to play along and that means the previous winners too. I will pick my winner next Friday.

And now to share some good news......my daughter Mia ended up in the hospital when she was not even 6 months old (she is now 4) with a really really bad bladder infection (not going to go into details)....she was there for around 10 days (I cried every day and especially night.......I was not allowed to be with her). Anyways since then she's been to regular check ups (every 2 - 3 months) which included a few ultra sounds.....long story short......a few days ago she went to her check up (which included an ultra sound) and if all is good it would be her last check up..........this morning my husband went to the hospital to pick up the results and .............NO MORE CHECK UPS!!! Thank the good Lord!

I want to do a little giveaway to celebrate this but it won't be buttons or crafty.......rather girly since Mia is a very girly girl!!! I have something in mind but I still gotta think about it! It'll be fun so I hope you all will play along!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #15

Hi!
LOOK at these YUMMY colours!!! I have to say......every one of Dawn's colour challenges have colours that I would never put together and sometimes I'm thinking the lady has gone bananas........but in the end the colour combos always work!!! Dawn is the Queen of Colour!!!




Remember how my goddaughter Nikolina surprised us with U2 concert tickets (I just got a lump in my throat........how sweet is that girl!!!) well this card is for her!! I do plan on getting some goodies for her as well........I'll post about that when it's all done).



I used my Spica clear marker on the stem.......adds a nice shimmer....LOVE that marker!! I used clear embossing powder on the flower and the button is my hand made fimo button. (I'm smelling another fimo button giveaway in the air......sniff sniff....).

I busted out my PTI Polka Dots stamps......BLOODY LOVE IT!! my PTI wish list is ridiculously long....and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one!!

my StampBox Challenge

My StampBox is Caardvarks sponsor for this challenge which is to create something using their logo colours which is PINK, BLACK and WHITE!!! Love that!! And I got a warm fuzzy feeling when I read that this company started off in Toronto, Canada (for those who don't know....I grew up in Canada...Mississauga to be exact).

So here's my PINK elephant!! My cousin and his wife from Germany were just blessed with their first baby GIRL!! and so I made this card for their little angel...that I will be sending along with these two cute tops.........is there anything more fun then baby clothes shopping (not including craft supplies!)!!

I used PTI's Polka dots stamps that I'm in love with!!! The Polka Dots II is so on my list! I got the elephant template from Paper Crafts website....

This is my first sketch card and I figured it's gotta be easy.......but I have to say........I struggled with this card. I had an image in my head but I could not get it out on paper if you paid me!! I hate when that happens!! The card looks soooo AMAZING in my head!! ;)

I love pink and green together!!! When Mia was a baby all her clothes were pink and green!!! I gotta find some of those pictures........my husband called her a frog when ever she was all in green!!

I used Making Memories Flower Patch stamps to make my pattern paper....cut out the flowers...the button is my fimo button......pretty simple!

Anyways, gotta clean up this MESS here in the kitchen.........wow I wish I had 'I Dream of Ginnie' powers right now.........blink my eyes and the mess is gone!!

So so many blogs and so very little time...........lately I have been reading so many amazing blogs and find myself using up my free time which anyone who has small children know there is very very little free time..........I'm going to have to spend more time crafting and a little less time blog hopping. I've got so many project in my head it's making me dizzy.......gotta get started.....isn't that the hardest thing.......with anything.........getting bloody started!! ;)

goodies and more

Hi!
Isn't it just like Christmas when Mr. Postman comes over and hands you a package!!! I got two packages this week with some yummy PTI and Hero Arts goodies!!! Can't wait to use them!

And it's with a lump in my throat we bid farewell to our relatives who left us this morning to go back home to Canada!! We will miss them and count down the months and days until their next visit! I just hope that they felt loved and welcomed here in our home.

I thought I would share this ADORABLE picture of some of the kids (there were 10 in total!!!)....I'm thinking we need a bigger pool!! he he

And now that summer's coming to an end.....sniff sniff :( .........it's back to routines, school, preschool........back to everyday life.......which I am looking forward to. I've got loads on my to do list......from laundry, back to school shopping, organizing the pantry..........also I will start making some cards in the next few day.....I have some photo cards, a challenge or two (hopefully).......2 new baby cards...........

busy, busy

Just wanted to let you know (if anyone was wondering!! ;)) that I'll be busy busy with our family (who are visiting us here from Canada) this week before they head off home! :(
Can you believe the summer is almost over!!! I just can't keep up!

U2

I just wanted to say that the U2 concert couldn't have ROCKED any better then it did! You have not experienced U2 until you see them LIVE!!!!!! The energy was WILD!!!!!!! They were on FIRE.....I was so shocked at Bono's vocal skills.............people the man could SING!!! Actually I was shocked at all of them!! the music was played PERFECTLY!!!! CRAZY!!! I can't even pick out a favourite part of the concert!! And when I heard my favourite song.......
SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
When they were finished my husband and I literally almost started crying.............................no...come back.....we want more......COME BACK!!
I want to thank my goddaughter who was the sneaky one who surprised us with this EXTREMELY THOUGHTFUL AND GENEROUS gift that Adrian and I will never forget and always cherish.
Well........I'll definitely have this goofy smile on my face all day with U2 ringing in my head!!!

Are these colours yummy or what!! But I have to admit when I saw the purple I got a bit of a headache!! Anyways, don't have much time to talk about this card because I have to get ready for the U2 CONCERT!!!!!!!!...but quickly...
I stamped Raindrop Background onto the cream paper but it's hard to see...the picture is pretty bright...I tried my best to fix it up in Photoshop....perhaps if you click on the photo you could get a closer look........ and I used Four Leaf Grid stamp on the raspberry paper and cut out the flowers.

I used Hero Arts stamps and PTI stamps....the button is my handmade fimo button. I used Versamark ink, card stock and Making Memories pattern paper.

sneak peek revealed

I'm just loving all the snowman cards on the Hero Arts blog and on the Caardvarks challenge....since I don't have a snowman stamp.......yet.......I drew this snowman and scanned it.




I stamped Raindrop Background on deep red paper and printed the snowman on it and on cream paper. I cut out the hat and scarf and glued it to the snowman (on cream paper)....coloured the nose and arms with Derwent pencils and cut it out. I used Four Leaf Grid for the background and some white and clear buttons for snow.....distressed the edges of the pale blue paper with my finger nail (Jennifer's great tip)....

winter wonderland

It was our wedding anniversary on August 4th..........8 years!! Someone surprised us with a card that had 2 U2 CONCERT TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!! We're so excited!! I think I know who it is but I'm not 100% sure........yet!

missing a finger??

here's a picture of a pumpkin I carved 2 years ago..........I cut out lots of bats and stuck all over the place!

found it!! is it gross??! he he anyways, I made these out of Fimo and sent them out in boxes........my guests were not expecting it! LOL my daughter wanted me to make her a finger and to put pink nail polish on it!!!!!!!

I got the idea off the Martha Stewart website (I'll search for it and add link).......she sells them but since they don't deliver to Croatia I made them myself. I've got some more Halloween projects I made.........I'll search for them and add them to this post.

Christmas in August

I thought I would share this card I came across the other day while going through all my craft stuff (and moving it down to the basement)......I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that I've been crafting forever..........but only started stamping in the last few month...
I made this card 5 or 6 years ago..........I drew and coloured it in with Derwent pencils (I would scan my drawings and then print them out).

I'm trying to find one of my Halloween invitations from last year.........I made a finger out of Fimo (got the idea from Martha Stewart's website)........if I find it I'll post it..........the reactions from our guests were great............they did not expect to get a finger in a box!!!!!! ;) Maybe I should have a Fimo Fingers Giveaway!!!! LOL!! Can you imagine the lady at the post office asking to see what I have in these boxes.......funny!

And I just couldn't wait to make a pumpkin card (I love love pumpkins.....fall......halloween). So I drew and cut the pumpkin out......stamped it........

flew by

I can't believe that we're back home!! It just FLEW BY!!! We had an awesome time........the weather was perfect.......HOT HOT HOT! Here are a few pictures............yes Croatia is breathtaking!! (click on the photo to getter a closer look)
It was pretty relaxing (as relaxing as it can get with small children). Gorgeous beach, super clear water. Did some sight seeing..........a little shopping............
and speaking of shopping, check out this adorable bag I bought for my daughter Mia.

look at that OWL................SO ADORABLE!!!!! It reminds me of the Hero Arts owl stamps!!
