 Hello!

I thought I would share what I'm loving lately. This is pretty much my 'everyday' make up (I don't really wear a lot of make up anyway...never wear eye liner or eye shadow).

I always put on some kind of BB or CC cream to even out my skin tone. I have really bad pigmentation (started when I was pregnant with Mia) and I never use to wear sun screen so you can imagine the damage!!

I'm really really loving derma e's BB cream except for one thing....the colour! I find it to have this weird grey or white tint to it....hard to explain but there's no pink or yellow in it. I think it's like they were trying for a neutral tone. For me it would have been perfect with a bit of yellow tone in it. It works fine once I blend it in (I use my fingers). As far as the coverage and ingredients it's a dream but I don't think I'll be buying it again just because of the colour which I'm pretty upset about since everything else about it is pretty perfect (for me).

I can't live without concealer for my dark under eye circles and I go back and forth from 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Brightening Concealer and RMS Beauty Un cover Up. LOVE both and will continue to use both! I do have to make sure to moisturize my under eyes really good when I use the Brightening concealer.

I'm also LOVING 100% Pure's mascara and Lip & Cheek Tint (I'm using Peach Glow). First of all the packaging is so friggin ADORABLE and the smell...I can't get enough of the smell! The Lip & Cheek Tint last all day on me and it looks so natural and it's so easy to blend (use my fingers...don't have time to wash brushes).

I LOVE Lavera's lip and eyebrow penscils. So soft, not drying. My favourite lip pencil is 01 Rose and I combine it Terra Naturi's 02 Rosewood for a my lips but better. This lipstick is so affordable. I wasn't expecting much but it's awesome!

So this is what I smear on my face to make me look awake! :)

a bit of kindness

Hello!

I've got another card for ya today. Once again using my Suzi and Stripes and Dots stamp sets.

To make my scalloped frame I used me Love stamp set. I covered the two last 'bumps' with washi tape when I inked it up to make the frame smaller. I added some little red gems to give it a little bling! ;)
The sentiment is Hero Arts Acts of Kindness stamp set.

I coloured with Graph'it markers.

I'm having a little giveaway here, pop by and check it out if you already haven't.

#sharehandmadekindness

Hello!
I hope ya'll had a lovely weekend!

I thought it would be fun to do a giveaway, share a little handmade kindness. I hand draw my stamp designs which I think qualifies as handmade (even though I don't actually make the stamps by hand). Those who know me know that I'm a pretty generous person...like last week I had a dentist appointment in the morning (his first patient of the day) and I brought him some freshly baked croissants (from the bakery), he giggled and shook his head. It's nice to do a little something....especially when it's unexpected. Jennifer's share handmade kindness just reminds me that I can do more.

I'm giving away a mystery prize!! Mwah ha ha ha ha (my sneaky laugh).

I created this card using my Stripes and Dots, Suzi and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Act of Kindess set that was designed together with Jennifer McGuire.
I coloured with my Graph'it markers.

If you're interested in winning this mystery prize leave a comment and I'll announce the winner on Friday.

chocolate chip cookies

Hello!

I'm pretty sure I already shared this recipe but here it is again. My kids, husband, friends (you get the picture) LOVE these cookies! They don't last. I always make them for Christmas....a couple of batches. The only thing I do differently is I chop up my own chocoate chips.

I found this recipe years ago...I'm talking before I got married!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (226 gr)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the vanilla and eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Finally, mix in the chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden. Remove from baking sheet to cool on wire racks.

Chicken gnocchi soup....YES!

Love this colour....and it has nothing to do with the fact that it's called Mia! ;)
I just wish Zoya nail polishes didn't cost $20 here in Croatia...isn't that crazy!

jane's doodles release blog hop + giveaway + 15% sale

Hello and welcome to another Jane's Doodles release blog hop!!

I'm adding two very SWEET sets.

My first two cards I created a while ago.
I created a one layer card using Love Birds.

Coloured with my Graph'it markers.

For this card I used Coffee Time and did some masking.

Both these sets are perfect for Valentine's day cards.
This card I made yesterday and I mixed stamp sets which I love to do because you get more use out of your stamps.

For this card I used Love Birds, Mom and Stripes and Dots.

I created the gingham pattern using my Stripes and Dots stamp set and coloured with Graph'ti markers.

I added some foam adhesive for dimension.

As always I'm giving away two stamp sets (of your choice) to one lucky winner. Also you can take advantage of 15% off all stamp set this weekend. Also I've added acrylic blocks to the shop...for now I have a 3" x 4" (1/2" thickness) block. It was so hard to photograph because it's clear and you can see my reflection! LOL! They're awesome blocks!

Now hop along!

Cosmel - eye cream extra sensitive

I love me some good natural skin care!! LOVE! I was so excited to use this eye cream for several reasons.

1. Natural product
2. Made in Croatia
3. Not tested on animals
4. Handmade
5. No parabens
6. Recyclable

Like I said Cosmel is a Croatian company which combine their strong pharmaceutical background with an ecological and natural approach to creating their products. Sounds amazing right! :)

This eye cream (15 ml) is gorgeous! I've used more than half and I'm very very happy with it! This cream hydrates (it's got Croatian spring water and hyaluronic acid), protects (raspberry seed oil and other oils like jojoba, avocado, grapeseed. Natural vitamin E and green tea).

When I first opened it the cream looked thick (which I don't mind...I have really dry under eyes) but it's actually a very thin consistency. What surprised me is how rich it is without being too thick or oily. It won't cake up your eye make up. I will definitely purchase this product again.

The packaging is pretty cute too! :)

Ingredients: Aqua, Glyceryl Stearate, Rubus Ideaus (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Simmondisia Chinesis (Jojoba) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil, Eqisetum Arvense Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Cera Alba, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat protein, Tilia Crodata Acid, Ceteareth-20, Benzyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-12, Tocopherol, Mel, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Sphingplipids, Phosholipids, Dehydroacetic Acid

They have other products that are on my wish list and I can't wait to try them out like their New Cell Serum which has AHA's and is good for hyperpigmentation (which is my biggest skin issue), Melli Cream Royal Jelly (which is packed with vitamins, honey, shea butter...I'm getting hungry!).

Cosmel is a family run business, super friendly (and speak English!!). You can find them on facebook here. I wish them further success from the bottom of my heart!
Bravo!
