here's to you

Hello!

Hope all is well!

Popping in to share this card I created using my Cheers and Stripes and Dots stamp sets.

In my Cheers stamp sets there's only one beer mug so how did I create this mirrored effect...I'll share that later this week (I'm sure many of you know how to do this).

I coloured the mugs with my Graph'it markers and took a toothpick and stuck some washi tape at the top to create a little banner and adhered the mugs with foam dots.

Have a great day!

Vitacost + Reviva Labs

 Hi!
Hope all is well! :)

I wanted to share a little review on Reviva Labs 10% Glycolic Acid Cream and my experience shopping at Vitacost. Right off the bat I'm going to say I'm 100% happy with both! :) I took these photos early this morning so the lighting is bla.

Anyhow I bought this cream because I was looking for a good glycolic acid night treatment that would help gently exfoliate my skin (I have normal skin that gets dryer in the winter and my t-zone oilier in the summer, reddness and hyperpigmentation) AND I don't want any nasty ingredients.

I have been using this for over a month and I have to say I'm very happy with it. I have noticed that my skin feel smoother and less congested. As for my hyperpigmentation...I think more time is need but I do see improvement. This does sting when first put on...but I had no negative reaction and if I feel my skin needs a little extra moisture I will apply my argan oil on top.

For more info on this cream (ingredients, direction) click here.

I really recommend Vitacost especially for people living in Croatia because there's such a huge selection, there's always great sales going on (they ship worldwide). We have a few green shops here in Zagreb that don't compare in selection of budget friendly prices. I just got my second order (Andalou Naturals, I'll update on this product once I get a chance to test it out) yesterday...it takes about a week.

Crochet

 Hello!
Hope all is well!

I pretty much start and end my day with a little crocheting. I'll be the only one awake on the couch...peace and quiet and crocheting for about half an hour...depends but it's something that I want to keep up all year long....I never crochet in the spring or summer.

I wanted to share some crochet project updates like the scarf I'm working on using the bean stitch...it's coming along...I want to make it pretty long.

I also found another crochet snowflake pattern on pinterest and I really love this one. I tried it out using yarn but it looks so much better when using crochet thread and starched. I think I have some crochet thread in the basement....I'm going to make another one and then starch it (which makes it stiff and hold it's shape)...perhaps make a snowflake garland. :) With this pattern I think you need to starch it because it won't hold shape.

Spotlight blog hop!

Hello!

Welcome to another Jane's Doodles Spotlight blog hop! I'm late...what can I say...as I type this I'm helping myoungest with homework, getting my other two ready for school (they are on different schedules).

Anyways...I'm spotlighting my two newest sets...

I used Cheers to create my first card. This set is great for birthday cards and also great for invitations...like perhaps if you're hosting a new years eve party! :) I think it's funny I drew up this set since I don't drink a drop of alcohol! :)

I did some masking and coloured with my Graph'it markers. I also added glossy accents to make the glasses look shinny (you can't tell on the photos).

For my second card I used the Stripes and Dots stamp set and stamped my background. I also used some pattern paper which is the only thing I hoard of all my crafty supplies. I did some distressing with white ink randomly on the card.

I also heat embossed the polka dots to create a cute background for my tag. I'm not too happy with this white embossing powder...I bought it in Zagreb...never heard of the company...maybe it's the paper I use?? Dyou have a favourite embossing powder, if do please share?

Joining me on this mini blog hop is Jen (I love her simple style) and your last stop is the Jane's Doodles blog of coarse! I'm giving away both stamp sets to one lucky winner so leave comments if you'd like to get your hands on them! ;)

Also I'm offering 20% on both stamps today!

Off to Jen's!

scarf or cowl

Hi!

Hope all is well! :)

I could seriously crochet the day away. Did I ever mention who taught me the basics?
I believe when I was 10 years old my grandma (my dad's mom) came to Canada from Croatia to visit for Christmas. I was home from school for the holidays and was very shy to speak Croatian (didn't know much) to my grandma so we found common ground to bond and that was crochet. My grandma never went to school....that's how it was back in the day, people were poor and sent the boys to school......so she didn't know how to read or write but she was brilliant and creative. She designed her own intricate designs to crochet.

At 10 years old I didn't know what a gift she had given me teaching me crochet because at my darkest moments in life (like loosing my dad and this grandma...they died within 24 hours) it gave me comfort. Thank you baka! :)

My scarf is coming along....I hope to do another crochet giveaway soon. I did one last year.

Do you prefer to wear scarves of cowls? I think I prefer a scarf because you have more options on how to style it.
Anyway..enjoyour weekend and make sure to join me on Monday for a special blog hop and giveaway! :)

I LOVE bread! I can give up sweets, fast food but bread....never! I do have to cut down...I mean I can eat a loaf a day easy! Anyway I really want to try and make my own bread and this no knead recipe seems like a good one to start with!

I found this gorgeous free printable...sucks that my printer isn't working!

I LOVE this shade by Essie (poor lil rich girl).

Grey - LOVE!  Sweaters - LOVE!

a happy customer

Hello!
Hope all is well!

I just wanted to share one of my customer's describing her first shopping experience with Jane's Doodle and thankfully it's all good! ;) It's in French so I got my husband to translate and basically she said she was pleased with the quick shipping and was delighted with the way I wrapped her purchase and the little added surprise...a little thank you from me!

I also want to say again to all my customers thank you for understanding and being patient with my transition. Some of you have received your stamps with no insert card and this is because Judith use to print out the insert cards but her printer isn't working and because she's stepped down she had to send me (and still is sending me) my stamps so the older ones don't have insert cards.

I'll be back later today with my Friday favourites!

crochet snowflake

Hello!

Hope all is well!

I just wanted to share this crochet snowflake I did......you can find the pattern and video tutorial here.

I want to make crochet snowflakes ornaments for our Christmas tree. I think I'm going to try it with thread where you have to then starch it so it's stiff and holds shape.

I need to go yarn shopping asap! I don't know where to go in Zagreb though...the place I use to go to closed down.

Anyways...pop on over to the JD blog and check out Marion's sweet card!

faux shaker card

Hello!
Hope all is well!

Fever has found it's newest victim in my home...Marko (my oldest) now is sick...I'm just exhausted!

Anyways I wanted to share this gift tag I created...my intention was to make a shaker tag but I didn't like how the foam adhesive was showing so I decided to make a faux shaker tag! :)

I basically did everything I would making a shaker card/tag only I didn't add the foam so the sequins can't really move...it does just a bit! :)

I used my Warm Wishes and Mr. and Mrs. Claus stamp sets and coloured with my Graph'it markers.

Have a great day!
